One of the many roads around Alexandra named after places in Britain. Canterbury Road, located near Hort Park was described by some sites as "Singapore's Cameron Highlands". This winding road lined with colonial-era structures that once served the British military in the area is known for its picturesque open field today.
The road is sometimes popular with cyclists looking for a climb. Visitors can also find several heritage trees along this road such as the penaga laut, common pulai and angsana tree. The colonial structures around Alexandra Park here goes back to as early as the turn of the 20th century to the 1940s.
