Blk 78 Moh Guan Terrace, named after Melaka merchant See Moh Guan, was built between 1936–1941 as part of Singapore’s first SIT estate. Known as “Tiong Bahru guo lau” (five-storey flat in Tiong Bahru), it features a unique horseshoe-shaped design spanning Moh Guan Terrace and Guan Chuan Street, and includes one of the first purpose-built air raid shelters in public housing.
