The Oasis Print
Details
Another place that I recalled visiting during my childhood days was the Oasis next to the Singapore Indoor Stadium and former National Stadium. Opened in phases from 1969 to 1972: the most memorable structures were the three floating äóìUFOäós on the river which could be seen while traveling along the ECP.
The Oasis was designed by Pan-Malaysian Group Architects and probably have panoramicξviews of the Golden Mile opposite which have many architectural icons such the Golden Mile Complex by Design Partnership, Golden Mile Tower by Gan Hock Guan and the Concourse by Paul Rudolph.
The Oasis was demolished in 2010 along with the former National Stadium.ξ- Lee Xin Li
